    1. When is the best time to move?

    The biggest challenge in the moving industry in the province of Quebec is around the end of June to the beginning of July, due to apartment leases being fairly standardized across the province. This puts a strain on the demand and thus increases the price. You are more likely to save on a move that is booked from September to April, as rates are likely to be lower during these periods.

    2. How long does it take to move?

    The time to move into a new home can seem overwhelming, but here are a few examples of the best tips to save you time and money and minimize the time needed.

    • Have everything packed and ready on moving day
    • All boxes should be labeled clearly
    • Have a plan and know where you want things to go
    • Frames (such as beds, desks and tables) should already be disassembled

    There are so many factors to consider, including the amount of rooms, boxes, access to elevators, and how many flights of stairs, etc… These all play a significant role in the amount of time it will take to successfully and safely move your prized possessions.     3. How is the cost of my move determined?

    Moving is generally charged by the hour, with the hourly rate depending greatly on the time of year. The lower season will likely be charged at a lower rate than in the higher season.

     

    Time can usually be determined using the following factors:

    • Access to the items
    • Readiness (is everything packed and disassembled)
    • Drive time
    • Packing and unpacking the truck
    • Placement of items

    4. Can my possessions be stored temporarily?

    Absolutely! We do have options for storage, whether short or long term. Just ask us and we’re happy to help!

    5. How and when should I pay?

    Payment should be done at the completion of the move, either by cash or credit card.
